Spooky Halloween Franken Fudge

I’ve been craving a fudge treat and this one with a spooky Halloween twist is excellent for this time of year. Even better- this recipe is perfect for mixing in and using up some of that leftover Halloween candy!

With Halloween just a few days away, I guess it’s time I get this published. Phew! Working at the girls’ school has had me busy lately!

Seasonal Oreo’s and holiday themed foods are my jam! I combined the two to create this Franken-fudge– a mashup of bits and pieces of my Halloween favorites. After Halloween, it’ll be a great way to use up some extra candy as well!

Much like Frankenstein, this recipe was a bit of an experiment. I made several batches of fudge, before finding the perfect combination of ingredients. Salt in fudge? Yep. Adding a pinch of salt helped balance out the sweetness a b

it.

Best of all, this recipe is quick and easy. Just microwave for a few minutes, mix, pour, and allow to set!

Prep Time 5 minutes

Additional Time 2 hours
Total Time 2 hours 7 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 7-8 Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 7-9 drops green food coloring
  • pinch of salt
  • Bite-sized candies

Instructions

  1. Add white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter to a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the chocolate mixture for 20 second intervals, and stir between each interval. Microwave for approximately 80 seconds in total, or until the chocolate is smooth.
  2. Line a 9x9 dish with parchment paper. While the chocolate melts in the microwave, break Oreo cookies into pieces and place in the lined baking dish.
  3. Once chocolate is smooth, stir in the vanilla extract, food coloring, and salt. Mix until completely combined and the color is evenly distributed. Pour the chocolate mixture into the lined dish, over the cookie pieces.
  4. Add on any additional candy pieces that you may want to include. I used seasonal M&Ms, candy eyeballs, sprinkles, and chopped pieces of Reese's.
  5. Chill the dish in the fridge for at least 2 hours, before slicing into 16 pieces.
