Guinness Beer Bread Recipe
No yeast? No problem! All it takes is 3 ingredients to bake up a fresh loaf of this delicious Guinness beer bread!
Like many others, I’ve taken to baking during our time at home. Partially to curb my boredom, and partially to give me something to snack on. I’ve been able to find plenty of flour on the grocery store shelves, but I haven’t been so lucky with finding yeast.
If you’re looking to find a delicious no-yeast recipe, this is it! In the fall, I love to make beer bread with seasonal beers. However, when those aren’t available, Guinness is my beer of choice! The dark caramelized flavor of Guinness gives this beer bread an unmatched taste!
Plus, because this Guinness beer bread recipe only requires three ingredients and no rising time, you can have it fresh out of the oven in less than an hour! Quick and easy, my favorite!
The key ingredient in this three ingredient bread recipe is self-rising flour. However, if you don’t have self-rising flour, it’s fairly simple to make on your own!
How to make self-rising flour
To make one cup of self-rising flour, combine:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Once you have the self-rising flour, all you need is some sugar and the Guinness beer! Give them a quick mix (don’t mix too much!) and you’re ready to bake!
