Life Lately

Hellooo friends! Now that we’re just about settled, I figured I’d pop in with a little life update. We’ve been busy bees on the weekends and the girls keep me on my toes during the week!

We went on post this morning to watch the Golden Knights jump, and Veronica kept mentioning joining the Army and jumping out of airplanes. Oh, boy!

Summer fun

Our little summer fun schedule has actually been so helpful! The girls wake up each morning already knowing what to expect for the day. Today was Water Fun Wednesday again!

Last week we visited the water park, but today I decided to keep the fun in our back yard with water balloons and shaving cream. I think we’ll probably alternate weekly between going somewhere and staying home for water fun. There are a surprising amount of water activities out in the community!

And speaking of shaving cream.. I bought a small fortune worth of shaving cream earlier this week for Make It Monday. Actually, that’s a lie. It was pretty cheap. But I did buy a ton. The girls used some to make fluffy slime, which turned out surprisingly well.

Around the house

Tomorrow we’ll be venturing out to do some shopping. I’m hoping to pick up a large cube organizer for the girls’ new playroom, as well as a chalkboard from Hobby Lobby that I’ve had my eye on. We have this big empty wall in the kitchen that I want to put this chalkboard on to use for chores and reminders and such.

Also in the kitchen is my new garbage disposal! John installed it over the weekend! Installation was surprisingly easy, and probably would have been easier had our sink not be stuck. I couldn’t believe that the house didn’t come with a disposal. I mean, it was only built in 2006.

Otherwise, I think we’ve gotten the house to our liking. Our fence is up in the back yard. We had a landscaper come and take out the mess of dead trees and over grown hedges. John and I installed faux wood blinds on the downstairs window and I just love how they look!

There are a few more things I’d like to change, but we’ll get there eventually.

I had more to post about, but I have a screaming toddler in my lap, and I can’t remember what else I had in mind. Until next time, friends!
