Life Lately

Life has been quite hectic lately. I’ve barely found the time to check in on the blog, so here is a simple post that requires no styled photography, or measurements to put into a recipe.

Since school started, I’ve had a full plate! Meetings, classes, army wife socials. Oh, and our BFFs PCS from the island next week. 😭

With everything going on, these are a few of the highlights.

Breaking up with a tattoo artist

In order to use up all of his “use or lose” leave, John took last week off. Part of the plan was to get some sort of matching tattoos. Not exactly the same, but the same theme. Or something like that. Well, I sent him to the tattoo shop. I’ve been there before, and know that all of the artists have spectacular work. Except they got a new guy.

The day John went in for the consultation, the shop was empty. The Hawaii tattoo expo was going on, so all of the best tattoo artist were over there. Except the new guy.

After scrolling through his Instagram, which is how tattoo artist are now showcasing their work, I was NOT impressed. There was no way I was letting this put something permanent on my body!

Since John booked the appointment, he was in charge of cancelling. Awkward. Especially since I’m still going back to that shop. Except with some one else.

Followup on Veronica’s seizure stuff

Shortly after Veronica had her seizure episode, she went off to the mainland to hangout with my parents for a month. Once she returned, I went back and forth with the insurance and the hospital they referred me to regarding more procedures to check what was going on.

After speaking with her doctor, we determined that somehow, the whole referral process was messed up, and the pediatric neurologist actually wanted her to have an EEG done before proceeding with any further tests/treatment.

We went yesterday for a sleep deprived test. She was only allowed to get 4 hours of sleep prior to the EEG, so lucky mom got to stay up with her all night.

We’re still waiting to hear back from the doc as to what the results are.

A rebrand

Part of my lack of inspiration lately has come from the fact that I don’t love this blog anymore. The name strikes me as kinda childish, and to be honest, I hardly ever even write about the military.

I’ve been looking to change things up for literally, over a year now. I just haven’t been able to fall in love with a forever name. I’d love something less defining, to give me an opportinty to focus on a little of everything. Suggestions welcome, PLEASE!
