The Dog Post

Hey furless friends! Caesar, here! Mom is busy getting my sisters ready to go back to school, so she agreed to give me a day on the blog. I am her favorite boy after all!

What makes me mom’s favorite boy? Well, for starters, I’m kinda handsome. Everyone is always telling her what a good looking guy I am. She calls me her beautiful boy all the time, so I know it’s true. I also like to think that I’m a good listener. I’ve picked up human language pretty well and usually seem to know what people are telling me. Plus, I put up with my sisters. I think we can all agree that that’s a big deal in and of itself.

The tall bossy one, she’s our big sister. I may be twice her size, but she was part of the pack before I came along. Then there’s the little chubby one. Mom found us around the same time. She’s always trying to sit on me or pull my tail. She’s good about sneaking me treats though, so I don’t mind her too much.

That little pup though. She loves to feed me, but man she can be annoying! Always grabbing on my ears or trying to climb on me while I’m napping. I do love her snuggles though. Sometimes she’ll crawl over to where I’m laying and just rest her head on me. Those are the good times.

As much as the little humans drive me crazy, I do miss them when they leave the house. I miss them a lot. A lot, a lot. Like why have you abandoned me, a lot. I’ve tried to follow them on their adventures, but I’ve made some messes as a result. We won’t go into the broken window or wall that I tore down. Mom wasn’t happy. Neither was Dad.

Even though I’ve escaped from dog jail a few times, I’ve learned to accept it. Mom puts me in the cozy cell when she leaves the house, but she always comes back and lets me out. In the mornings, before she leaves, I always get a treat. It makes me feel much better about being home alone. She finally figured out that I hate the sounds of appliance running, so my alone time is a great time for naps.
