Weekend Repairs
Our weekend blew by! We were constantly going and doing something.
A major chunk of our weekend consisted on trying to get our SUV repaired for it to pass the Hawaii safety inspection. I’m not sure about other states, but Hawaii requires you to get a yearly inspection. The point is basically to make sure you aren’t driving something that’s going to be a hazard to yourself or others.
When I took the SUV in December, it failed because our windshield wipers didn’t squirt. We thought it had to do with the tank having a leak, so we took it to the repair shop. The repair shop told us that we were right about the leak, but they couldn’t fix. I made an appointment with Chevy to have it taken care of, only to be told that they overbooked and couldn’t see me.
SO, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We were easily able to patch up what we thought was the crack in our tank. Only to find that the driveway was still covered in fluid after testing out our wipers. The detective in me kept making John turn the wipers on, and I quickly realized that the leak was actually in the hoses that take the fluid to the windshield wipers.
It doesn’t look like it’ll happen today, but I’m hoping that tomorrow, I can get some electrical tape to wrap the hoses, then spray them with Flexseal. Let’s hope that it works, because I really don’t want to deal with the hassle of replacing hoses. All I need is a pass.
Anyway, who is ready for football tonight?! It’ll actually be on in the middle of the afternoon here. I hated three of the four teams in the playoffs, so for tonight, my team is Oregon. It also helps that the quarter back is somewhat of a hometown hero. Who are you rooting for?
