It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hello, December! Man, oh man, have I been waiting for this month to roll around. I am too excited for all things Christmas and holiday prep is already in full swing in Casa FR. Thanksgiving went smoothly and without a hitch. I made way too much food, but Thanksgiving leftovers are the best kind of leftovers.

After Thanksgiving dinner, I spent some time on the computer searching for Black Friday deals. At 8pm I was scoring some pretty awesome deals on cloth diapers. Lame, I know.. But seriously, I was pretty excited that I didn’t have to stay up until some ridiculous hour.

As has become the tradition in our family, Friday morning we headed out for a tree. At first I was a bit worried about being able to find a nice tree in Hawaii, but we ended up with a great one. The price tag was a bit hefty, but I guess that’s how it is here. Tree decorating had to wait until Saturday, since Hubster and I had a date night.

Tree decorating was a morning-long event for us. We started by perfectly placing the lights, followed by the ornaments. I’ll be sticking with our red and silver theme once again this year, since we haven’t gotten much use out of all things red and silver in the past few years. Thanks Army.

Last night the proofs came back from our photographer. I am so in love with her shots! We had a hard time getting the girls (mostly Adri) to cooperate, bur there are tons of great photos. We had a slightly difficult time narrowing it down to our top 15 favorites. I can’t wait to see what they look like once they’re all edited.

I’ve got a sick wittle babe on my hands today, so although I’d love to catch up on the happenings of blog land, I might have to wait another day or two.
