Meet Lucy, Our Elf!

This will be our second Christmas doing Elf on the Shelf. Since we were staying in a hotel for most of elf season last year, we didn’t really get to do too many of those fun ideas that you see all over Pinterest. This time around, we have a big house full of furniture and other crap, so Lucy has been making her rounds. Lucy made her debut on Black Friday. I couldn’t figure out when the elf is supposed to appear, so I just went with the day after Thanksgiving. I just hope I don’t run out of ideas before Christmas.

I have yet to get really crazy with our elf because the thought of making a mess on purpose stresses me out. Add to that the fact that I won’t be able to clean said mess until after the girls go to bed, and the stress just compounds. No thanks! I do have a few more weeks to figure it out though.

Even with annoying as the whole elf thing can be, the sound of excitement and the joy in the girls’ eyes it totally worth it. Although, I could probably go without my door flying open at 6:54 am, for Adri to announce to me that, “Lucy use her magic to climb da fridge!”

This morning, the girls will be greeted by a note from Santa. We saw him last night at the Schofield tree lighting ceremony, but the line to meet him was way too long.
