Candy Corn Tissue Paper Stained Glass Craft
Tissue paper stained glass is the perfect craft for all ages! The candy corn design makes it a perfect window decoration around Halloween!
These little tissue paper stained glass/sun catcher crafts are one of my all time faves! The prep is fairly simple, and can keep the kiddos occupied for a good amount of time. Plus the end result is such a cute little seasonal decoration.
Typically, these tissue paper stained glass crafts are a little bit of a free for all, with the colors, however this time around, the girls were sure to neatly place each color of tissue paper precisely where it was supposed to be. I actually bought candy corn, so that I could copy the color pattern, and I still screwed it up. Twice!
Materials
- Card stock – If using a Cricut, use black card stock. If you plan on cutting by hand, print the PDF template below onto white cardstock paper.
- Tissue paper – for younger children, cut out larger tissue paper squares.
- Clear shelf liner – You’ll need clear shelf liner, such as Contact Paper. I typically only use the liner on one side of the project, to conserve it.

Tools
- Cricut
- Cricut cutting mat
- Scissors
Instructions
- Use Cricut Design Space to create an outline of a candy corn with a max size 11.5 inches. You can use my Design Space canvas! Place cardstock on Cricut cutting mat and load into Cricut machine to cut.
- Using scissors, cut a variety of colors of tissue paper into squares roughly 1-2 inches. Cut larger squares for younger children.
- Use the outline of the cut out candy corn cutout to measure out the amount of clear shelf liner necessary to cover the entire thing.
- Cut out clear shelf line, peel the backing, and place the candy corn cutout on the sticky side of the contact paper. Cut away any excess shelf liner from the exterior of the candy corn outline.
- Stick the tissue paper squares to the clear shelf liner on the inside of the candy corn cutout. It's ok for pieces to overlap or go over the card stock!
- If desired, apply a second sheet of shelf liner to the uncovered tissue paper side. Punch a small hole in the top, to thread through a string for hanging.
