Life Lately – Checking In
Hello! Happy Tuesday, lovelies!
I’ve got a whole bunch of seasonal content scheduled for the rest of the year (can you believe Thanksgiving is next week?!), but I’ve been struggling in the personal writing department. It’s been a good while since I’ve done one of these posts, so why not today?!
Currently…
Anticipating… The arrival of our Christmas cards! I didn’t send cards last year, due to terrible planning on my part. Before this year even started, I marked down in my 2019 planner my deadlines for everything Christmas card. We did Christmas photos the first week of October, and as soon as I got the photos back, I ordered cards.

Loving… The photos for said Christmas cards. I’d been scoping out this photographer since before we moved to Kansas, so I made sure to book her Christmas mini shoot as soon as she posted about them!
I am also LOVING Kansas. Coming from someone who was NOT looking forward to life in the midwest, I am so thrilled with how we’ve settled into life here. The girls love school and their neighborhood friends. Our neighbors have been wonderful and always keep me busy with an abundance of activities.
Making… All the Christmas crafts! I have a beautiful Christmas pillow coming to the blog tomorrow!
I’ve truly been in the mood to decorate for Christmas, but the more I think about it, the more I hold off. Decorating on the day after Thanksgiving has always been one of our little family traditions.
Planning… For 2020! I received my Content Planner (affiliate link) a few weeks ago and have been working on filling it out. SO many ideas that I never got around to posting this year. And honestly, so many ideas that I’ve already even photographed and just haven’t posted. Oops.
Blogging has truly taken a backseat this year, and I’m hoping to put a full effort into it starting now-ish. I swore that when all the babies were in school, this would be my thing. Honestly, I’ve been coasting by with old content.
Also, as I mentioned, neighborhood activities have been keeping me busier than usual. Right now, I’m planning for a brunch that I’m hosting
Watching… Disney+, you too?! We started the free trial over the weekend and I’m still debating whether or not we’ll keep it. We cut the cable cord when we moved to Fort Riley, which means that we’ve been paying for a variety of TV subscriptions. Right now, Netflix is fulfilling the girls’ need for TV. We’ll see what happens whenever Disney comes off of Netflix.
This season I also started watching The Masked Singer. I’m hooked! I’ve also cheated a little and Googled spoilers. It’s such a fun show to watch!
