Hello!

Hello y’all! Oof! This week got off to a rough start. Maybe even this whole year? I’m just gonna go with January being the free trial month and 2019 really starts on Feb 1st. 

I had intended on posting a little update yesterday, but honestly, I napped instead. Clearly, I’m doing big things in the blog world with that work ethic. 🙈

Juli ended up in our bed Sunday night, like she normally does. Only, this time it kept me up all night. I got up in a hurry to send everyone off to school and get back to bed. For someone who doesn’t typically nap, it was kind of a big deal. 

Thank goodness, I woke up nice and refreshed and ready to get my blog on in the tiny bit of time before the kiddos would start coming home. Only I couldn’t get the blog to work. OHHHH my goodness. That was scary! I had installed a new plugin the day before, so I quickly deactivated that and was still left with the same issues. I finally just got a plugin to disable the new WordPress update and was ready to roll. To preschool pick up. 

With a fresh start today I was SO ready to get stuff done!

I’m finally out of egg nog to make my lattes, so on my way to the commissary, I passed by Starbucks thinking they might still have some. Unfortunately, nope. Looks like egg nog lattes are done for the year, which is probably a good thing, seeing as John and I are back to meal prepping and eating healthier. My jeans slid on without a fight this morning! Woot!

I did some grocery shopping and picked up some ingredients for dinner and to shoot a new video for the blog. The Instant Pot potato soup recipe has been extremely popular since the new year started, so I’ll capitalize on those page views by adding a video. Hopefully sharing the video across social media will help generate some extra views as well. 

After having made the mashed potato recipe video, I am all aboard this video train. Just using my basic tripod and DSLR camera, they haven’t been too difficult to create. Plus, they’re absolutely worth the time it takes to create them! I’m hoping to incorporate a lot more video on this page and throughout my social media this year. 

I’m excited to see what this year has in store and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you! 

Hopefully, we’ll be able to share our new duty station soon! I’m hoping to know by the end of the week, or Monday at the very latest. I’m SO sad to have to leave Newport, but looking forward to finally getting settled some place for longer than a year! This summer will be our third move in 3 years! Crazy, huh?!
