Affordable Military Ball Gowns from Amazon

Military ball season is upon us! In just a few weeks, John and I will be hitting up the Navy ball, here in Newport. Then, just a month after that, it’s Marine Corps ball time. Oh, and then a month after that, holiday balls.

All these balls mean I need all the dresses! I do have a bunch that I plan on recycling, but I would not mind adding a new dress to the collection. And actually, I’m thinking I might want to add a  sleeved-dress to my collection come holiday time!

As I was shopping for Derby dress earlier this year, I stumbled into the realm of Amazon fashion. I’ll be honest, I had no clue that on top of being able to buy toys and laundry products, you could also buy dresses from Amazon. Formal dresses at that! And there are thousands of them!

While I know SO many of my mil spouse friends are huge fans of Rent the Runway, I honestly, just can’t get on board. I’ve searched and searched the website, and most rentals seem to start around $60 and can go as high as $150+. I’ve managed to buy every gown I own for less than $120!

This bunch of ball gowns that I’ve gathered up are appropriate by my standards. Not everyone will agree, but it’s ultimately up to you to decide what works for your event.

ALSO! I rediscovered THIS DRESS thanks to Erica! I ALMOST wore it to a military ball a few years ago, but at the time I didn’t realize that it could be worn in hundreds of fabulous different ways. Now, I own it in several colors, because it’s fun, comfortable, and affordable! It comes in a ton of different colors and even as a high-low dress.
