A Peek of Spring
Helloooo!
I’ve been working hard on the new site and getting thing ready on that side. BUT! I wanted to share the latest decor I got up around the house. Spring may be a few weeks away, but I’m ready for it now!
The high temperature today was in the 60s, but apparently we may be getting some snow tonight. I was not made to survive in freezing temperatures!
Typically, I hit the Target Dollar Spot up for cheap decor options, but when I stopped in last week, the area was lacking. To my surprise, Walmart has had some really cute stuff lately! This year’s decor is a combo of old Target, and new Walmart!
The bunnies and burlap carrots above are from Target two years ago, but I saw similar items at Walmart this year. And actually, I’ve considered going back to Wally World to grab a few more bunnies to add to my collection!
Also from Walmart, that wreath! Isn’t it the cutest?! I saw is there two weeks ago and when I saw it sitting on the shelves again today, into my cart it went!
Taking the wreath photo made me realize again how much I want to paint our door. I love red doors, and ours is close, but it’s just a tiny bit too purple. It may be a spring project that we tackle, but with knowing that we’ll just be renting the house out when we leave this summer, I hesitate to put too much unnecessary effort and money into the house.
Oh, and hey! I don’t think I ever posted a full shot of my white mantle! Eventually, I’ll get around to posting a full DIY on how I upgraded it from an icky stained wood color to this gorgeous white masterpiece!
Annnd.. Since we’re in the spring spirit, I started warming some fruity Scentsy waxes today. The melon and apple granita pictured below smells amazing! I have it in all of my downstairs warmers.
Hopefully we’ll spend some time over the weekend getting get the yard spring-ready and adding some curb-appeal to the front.
