Greater Dreams
My unpopular opinion: I’m not super into the Olympics. Hate on me if you must, but it’s not just my thing. My husband on the other hand, spent the last two weeks glued to the TV at all times. It was honestly starting to drive me crazy.
One thing that I do love about the Olympics though, is how it inspires little athletes to dream. I remember being a little girl and dreaming of becoming an Olympic gymnast.
This year, I got to see those same dreams plant themselves in the minds of my own little gymnasts. They obsessed over watching women’s gymnastics with their daddy. And the gymnastics came just as Veronica was being moved up to the next level at her gym. It was perfect.
It’s not always easy though. Currently, V is the youngest in her class, and needs some major work! She went straight from the preschool/kinder gymnastics class, to a class with girls around 7 or 8 years old. Luckily, she has the same coach who has been wonderful with helping her adjust and focusing extra attention on her.
Only time will tell if my little ladies will make it to Olympic status, but in the meantime, I can only hope that they continue to live their dreams and work towards their goals.
And speaking of chasing dreams, tomorrow, August 26, the move GREATER will be released in theaters. The movie is based on the life of Brandon Burlsworth, walk-on turned All-American college football player. Check out the inspirational trailer blow.
To help others chase their dreams as well, I was given a Walmart gift card to pass along to someone who is inspiring others to go after their goals as well. More on that, coming soon!
