Summer is Coming

This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central. I received products to facilitate my review.

It’s true, summer is quickly approaching! The lifeguard at the pool said so; and I figure he knows a thing or two about summer. While we were at the pool here on base the other day, the he mentioned that he was surprised by the amount of families that started to trickle in after Juli and I showed up. ‘Tis the season!

Both of the older girls have a week and a half of school left until it’s time for daily beach and pool trips! I mean, we do have to take advantage of our last full summer in Hawaii, right?!

With summer break on the verge, water safety also becomes a concern. For those of us who live around water (whether it’s the ocean, lakes, streams, etc.), teaching little ones to swim and be comfortable in the water is a huge safety benefit.

Luckily for our family, Veronica and Adri are already fairly comfortable swimming in the pool and ocean. Up next is Juli! I’d love to teach her to swim while we’re still here in Hawaii, because who knows where we’ll end up next, and if we’ll have easy access to bodies of water.

With the help of our ultra-bright and beautiful SwimWays Baby Spring Float we’ve been easing Ju into the water. This last pool trip, she was splashing and kicking. Seriously, adorable! Because the SwimWays Baby Spring Float is the single best float on the market; it’s a great choice for introducing babies to the water for the first time.

In 2012, SwimWays, a leader in helping children learn to swim, started National Learn to Swim Day as a way to educate parents and children about water safety and the importance and benefits of learning to swim. Later on this week, they’ll be celebrating the 5th annual National Learn to Swim Day. On May 21st, SwimWays is encouraging parents and caregivers to celebrate in their own way.
