Did You Know…? [MetLife TRICARE Dental]
This post was sponsored by the MetLife TRICARE Dental Program as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central.
As you may have noticed by now, I’ve been a part of the MetLife TRICARE Dental Ambassador Program, for the last couple of months. For the last few months, I’ve enjoyed sharing some facts that I already knew about this wonderful program with all of you, as well as learning a few new things to share.
In January, I shared a post about the new MetLife TRICARE Dental premiums, and how to enroll in the program. Last month, I focused on the girls’ first trip to dentist (and Veronica’s cavities), along with topics related to children’s dental health since it was Children’s Dental Heath Awareness Month.
As this is my final post with this program, I’m going to hit you with some quick facts that you may or may not already know. If you missed them before, here they are now!
For instance, did you know that MetLife TRICARE Dental program enrollees have access to one of the largest civilian dental networks? With over 250,000 dental locations accepting the MetLife TRICARE Dental program, finding a dentist after each PCS is simple!
Also, did you know that enrollment in the MetLife TRICARE Dental program is not automatic? Unlike your TRICARE medical insurance, that is automatic once enrolled in DEERS, dental insurance is separate. Luckily, enrollment is easy, and can be done online, by phone (1-855-638-8371) or by filling out an enrollment form and mailing or faxing (1-855-763-1337).
Along with the fantastic coverage and easy enrollment process, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the competitively priced premiums. The one thing (ok, the one of many things) that always scared me about going to the dentist was the fear of astronomically priced procedures. Like I mentioned in a previous post, your two annual cleanings are free (and you can’t beat free!) plus most out of pocket costs are extremely affordable. Plus, did you know that the TRICARE Dental Program will also coordinate with another supplemental insurance carrier? There’s also a Accidental Annual Maximum of $1,200 per beneficiary per plan year, which means there won’t be any crazy fees, if there’s an unexpected injury.
I’ve loved learning and sharing the benefits of the MetLife TRICARE Dental program, and I hope that I’ve been able to share some useful information! If you’re not already enrolled and are eligible to, make sure you do it! It’s a very affordable program to help protect one of your more important assets!
