Fall Break Checklist
Fall break is upon us! For the next week, that means entertaining the children folk also keeping myself sane. Hopefully.
In order to make the most of our time and keep boredom at bay, I’ve come up with a few ideas for us for the next few days. Nothing too crazy, since Christmas is right around the corner and all, but enough to get us out of the house and occupied.
Unlike most of you out there, our Fall checklist will not included apple picking (which I’m super jealous about BTW!). But we have some equally awesome activities to take advantage of in Hawaii!
Fall Break Checklist
- Visit the beach a time or two. It seems like it’s been a while since we’ve hit the sand to soak up the rays. It has been rather rainy lately though.
- Go turtle watching. I absolutely LOVE to see turtles on the beach. There is a rocky beach not too far from our house, where they love to wash up on the rocks to get some sun.
- Visit a farmers’ market. There is one right by Adri’s school on Wednesdays, that I haven’t been able to check out due to pick up times and the hecticness that goes along with after school activities. No school means no rush.
- Check out some helicopters. The Division here is hosting a week of activities. Last year, they had Black Hawks and a Chinook on the field. It’s just a short walk from our house, and I think the girls might love it as much as I will.
- Play at the splash pad. Since Juli is finally walking, I can’t wait to see how she reacts to the water. The splash pad is just down the street and a great activity to tire out the girls.
- BOO our neighbors. We were boo’d last year, so I’d like to start the tradition again in our neighborhood. We have a ton of new neighbors, so it seems like a great way to make them feel welcome.
