Bummed

Ugh. It’s been a bit of a crappy day. I don’t normally post about family life outside of the kids, and occasionally John, but my grandpa passed away today.

We knew it was coming, I mean he was old, and that’s what old people do, but it’s hitting me harder than I expected it to. I feel terrible for my dad, who was lucky to have both of his parents still living up until today.

John’s unit has some event happening on the beach tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to it, since I could use some time at the beach. And I definitely don’t mind getting a head start on the weekend.

I also get a kid-free night tomorrow, which I so need! Woo!
