Super Sunday & Chili Queso Recipe
Do people enjoy reading weekend recaps? I always wonder…
This one will be more of just a Sunday recap, since I literally sat on the couch all day Saturday doing nothing. Well, not nothing. I was actually busy setting up my new blog design.
After much annoyance with my original theme, I went ahead and purchased the Bloom theme from Restored 316. When I first switched to WordPress, I was torn between Bloom and a theme from a different designer. Ultimately, I bought the other one, but it sort of lacked in the customization department. Friday I started my research again and decided to go ahead and make the switch.
I’m much happier as there are more widget areas that I can use and the setup tutorial had a ton of great information. Even the CSS file is nice and cleanly labeled, so that I can easily go in and make my own changes without having to search through code.
Anyway, back to Sunday. Before the big game, John and I bottled up our beer! We spent the night before emptying beer bottles with our BFFs.
We watched the Super Bowl with a bunch of friends…who were all Seahawk fans. The mood by the end of the game was slightly depressing. Not only because of the loss, but how about those commercials?! Half the time, I wanted to hug my dad. The other half, my kids or my dog. I did like the half time show though!
Along with the Super Bowl comes food. The hostess did an amazing job with decorations and food. My contribution was this chili queso recipe. It’s not an exact Chili’s copycat, but it’s close enough for me. The original recipe had too much heat anyway.
