Alphabet Soup

Hubster has a four-day weekend! YASSS! After this past week with my crazy children, I’m really looking forward to having some help around the house.

Since my brain is somewhat fried, you’re not getting much thought out of me today. I did think an ABC post would be cool though.

A- All About That Bass; it’s one of Veronica’s favorite songs at the moment. She is HORRIBLE with lyrics though. Just like her daddy.
B- Baby Led Weaning: We start on Monday! I can’t wait. We’ve had friends ask about it, and I get SO excited to talk about it. More on BLW tomorrow!
C- Crockpot: I love this thing! I cooked a pork shoulder the other day, and it’s one of the most delicious things I’ve ever had! Dinner tonight will also be a crockpot meal.
D- Diapers. Specifically cloth diapers. A friend recently asked me about these, and just like BLW, I get so excited to talk about my crazy crunchy mama things.
E- Emilia: my middle name. That’s what John calls me when he thinks I’m being ridiculous.
F- Furniture: We rearranged the furniture in our house and I love it! Our kitchen/entryway is so much more open now!
G- Godparents: John and I are having the hardest time deciding on Godparents for Juliana. We’re hoping to have her baptized while we’re home this summer.
H- Hawaii: I have a love/hate relationship with this place. We’re SO lucky to be stationed here, but now I see that people who say they hate it aren’t so crazy.
I- Ice cream: I’ve only made one batch of ice cream so far, and it was only the plain vanilla flavor that I’ve been making forever, so I can’t wait to experiment.
J- Juli! She’ll be six months old on Monday. I’m so sad!
K- Kayak.com: We’ve started shopping for our plane tickets home later this year. Why must it be so expensive?! Ugh. And the thought of flying with three kids terrifies me!
L- Luau: I’m already planning Juliana’s first birthday party. I know, I know, I’m crazy.. It’s customary in Hawaii to throw a huge luau for a baby’s first birthday, so that’s what I’m doing.
M- Movie night! It’s been a few weeks, but we’re having a movie night this weekend. Hopefully watching The Interview.
N- News: Wow! I’m currently watching the news. This newscaster is terrible!
O- Outside: I’m so bad about spending time outdoors. The kids and I really need to take advantage of living here.
P- Potty training: Adri is frustrating the life out of me! She’ll do so well with potty training for a while, and then she’ll just have a crappy day.
Q- Quizno’s… Man. I’d love a Quizno’s sub right now. I think we used to have one, but it’s since closed down.
R- Recipes: My bootcamp class is going to do a recipe swap thing. I can’t wait to have 20ish new meals to add to my rotation.
S- Social: There’s a spouse’s social tonight. I used to get really anxious about these, but now that I know most of the ladies there, I have a really good time.
T- Tough. This list was harder than I expected. Brain = officially fried.
U- Undercut: I need mine redone. John might kill me though. He’s not a fan.. I love having half as much hair though!
V- Vehicle inspection: The Tahoe passed it’s inspection! I tweeted a photo last night of the duct tape job that I did on the hoses under the hood. It’s not perfect, but it passed!
W- Weather: We had some pretty wild weather a few weeks ago. It’s looking like it isn’t going to be the greatest today either.
X- xNot xhappening.
Y- Yams: They’ll be Juli’s first food tonight. I could have sworn I picked up sweet potatoes, but that’s not what the sign in produce said. Oh well. Let’s pretend they’re sweet potatoes.
