Since moving back to the mainland a year ago, Amazon has basically become a lifeline. From shoes, to toilet paper, to vacuum parts, I go to Amazon for just about everything. You should have seen me at the Derby this weekend. Almost anytime someone commented that they liked what we were wearing, my response was, “Thanks! It’s from Amazon!”

Amazon’s Alexa has also been helping my out around the house. I’m constantly impressed by all that I see Amazon Alexa Skill able to do! From answering questions to starting a soundtrack for the kids, it’s almost like having and extra set of hands around. As a busy parent, Amazon Alexa is a dream and so handy when mama is solo-parenting!

As I’m shuffling the kids down the stairs the morning, I ask Alexa about the weather, to determine whether or not they still need a coat. Today was a sweater day.

At homework time, Veronica asks Alexa to verify that she did her addition and subtraction correctly. She also loves to play “20 Questions!” Alexa always seems to be able to figure out what Veronica is thinking!

The girls LOVE being able to talk to a “robot” and essentially control things with their voice. “Alexa, play Kidz Bop,” is one I hear almost daily! Amazon Alexa is a fun AND convenient household tool that benefits everyone!

While John and I were gone over the weekend, I set up some new Alexa Skill, through the NEW Alexa Skill Blueprints, to help my parents out. I found the babysitting and pet guide Alexa Skill Blueprints most useful for our weekend away. With both the babysitter and pet guide skill, I was able to set our daily routines, as well as make notes to where items such as the dog food or nighttime diapers are located.
