LuLaRoe Love & Giveaway!
A HUGE shout out and thank you, to Erin, for providing me with the products for this blog post and sponsoring the LuLaRoe giveaway!
I am a skeptic. I’ve been sorely disappointed more times than I can remember by items, services, etc. that friends and internet strangers rave about. So, when I initially heard about LuLaRoe, and their buttery soft leggins, I was not quick to jump on the bandwagon.
In fact, I didn’t jump on the bandwagon at all. There have been plenty of popups and invites on my Facebook, but I continued to live blissfully uninterested. That is, until I recently when I teamed up with a LuLaRoe consultant, Erin, to bring you this post.
The deal? Erin sent me a variety of LuLaRoe items (which I learned expand far beyond just leggings), in exchange for my honest post and hosting a giveaway. Easy peasy. I figured there was no way I could lose. So here we are.
The day my LuLa package arrived in my mailbox, I ran home to try everything on. I am not even joking when I say that I stripped down in my kitchen, to get these leggings on.
YOU GUYS! Holy smokes. These are the pants (yes, leggings are pants) that dreams are made of!
Imagine you’re sitting in a nail salon, in a nice massaging chair, getting a pedicure. I go monthly, and always spring for the “deluxe” pedicure, which includes a massage. The nail tech starts by applying a stream of lotion to my foot and leg, then uses their hands, to distribute it evenly.
I’m not exaggerating when I say that slipping these leggings pants on felt just like that! So. damn. soft. I couldn’t help but spend the day rubbing my legs. John even came home at one point during the day, and I insisted he feel.
Aside from the leggings, I was pleasantly surprised with dresses and a variety of tops. Who knew LuLaRoe had such an assortment of items?! I surely didn’t! What some might also love to know, is that along with all of the fun prints, there is also a great selection of solid colored and simple prints available!
What I’ve gathered, is that most items run a bit big. To give you an idea of fit, typically, I wear medium tops, and size 4/6 in dresses and bottoms. The smalls fit wonderfully, and with a little extra space.
Take a look at what I got!
Amelia
A dress with pockets. Need I say more?! I’ve already worn this dress a handful of times in the last couple of weeks. It’s the perfect combo of comfort and “what are you dressed so nicely for?” In other words, perfect for leading FRG meetings, being the adult in the room at a sorority meeting, and taking yearbook photos at the student of the quarter assembly.
Julia
Another dress that I absolutely love! If you’ve ever wanted to leave the house in pajamas, but worry about the other moms at school judging you, get yourself one (or five) of these! Julia is a simple and form-fitting. I feel so chic sitting around at home in this dress. And it’s great for looking sexy and throwing back chicken wings and beer!
Classic T – Small
The light breathable fabric is probably what I love most about this shirt! The classic-style top works with shorts, jeans, skirts, leggings. Basically anything.
Perfect T – XSmall
Even the XS size of this top was pretty loose. I think next time, I’d probably go for an XXS. Although the size did make it perfect for knotting on the side along with a pair of leggings. I’m not the fashionablest of fashionistas, so I rocked it as-is. I think next time, a belt may have looked great. BTW. This top allows for full range of motion when beating youngsters at beer pong.
Randy – Small & Medium
I could live happily in these tops forever! I reach for this one in particular when getting dressed! Even with their longer sleeves, I am perfectly comfortable in the Hawaiian heat. Apparently many ladies love them around here too. I can’t tell you how many friends I’ve walked past and had them shout, “Nice Randy!” to me. Like how do they know?!
Leggings – OS
The leggings were everything I was hoping for and more! If you’re anything like most of the moms I know, that live in leggings all day. You NEED a pair of these. At least one. Promise me you’ll try them. PROMISE! I even stepped outside of my comfort zone, and even started wearing the funky loud pattern out in public.
On top of having adult-sized leggins, Erin also sent me a pair for each of the girls!
What I loved most about working with Erin, is that she’s also a veteran’s spouse. Her husband is 100% permanently disabled, due to PTSD and TBI. She’s using her opportunity with LuLaRoe to help support her family financially, with the hopes of launching a non-profit that will provide therapeutic opportunities for veterans, and resources for their families.
