Lunch Box Love

Hey there lovelies! Let me introduce you to my latest addiction.. The PlanetBox Rover, a bento lunch box.

I’ve been on the hunt for a bento lunch box for a little while, and after lots and lots of searching and comparing, I decided the Rover was the box for us. Even at a hefty price ($50 each, eek!) I decided to purchase three of these bad boys for the girls and I.

Even though the school year is coming to a close, I wanted to get these things like NOW. One reason being that I was tired of sending Veronica to school with Lunchables. The second, because I wanted to make sure we had the boxes for when we travel home this summer.

There were a few aspects that sold me on the PlanetBox Rover. I liked that it had five smaller compartments versus only two or three large compartments. I also loved it’s durability, and the fact that it’s made of stainless steel, so I don’t have to worry about plastic leaching into our foods. Many of the reviews that I read mentioned how they had had their PlanetBoxes for several years, and that they were still in great shape.

My hope is that we’ll be able to use these boxes as we travel back and forth from the mainland, as well as once we PCS back permanently for our many road trips. Currently, the boxes are just slightly too large for the girls’ lunches, but eventually they should grow into the bigger meals.

Those are a few examples of what I’ve put together so far. Nothing super exciting, but I’ve had fun putting them together. I spent some time on Amazon over the weekend, searching for fun cutters and molds, which should be here soon. I can’t wait to brainstorm more ideas and come up with fun and healthy options for lunch!
