Sofia the First Princess Party
This is part of a sponsored collaboration with DiMeMedia and Disney Junior. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
With a house full of little princesses, it should come as no surprise the Sofia the First is one of the most popular characters in our home. When we had the opportunity to host a Sofia letter writing party, I was all about it! Sofia embodies qualities such as friendship, bravery, and creativity, which makes her a fantastic role model for children.
Originally, I was wanting to host a tea party, since that’s the first thing I think of with Sofia the First, but to keep it kid-friendly, we went with pink lemonade instead. I did make sure to serve PB&J tea sandwiches though, along with some royal ruby berries. And I can’t forget Cedric’s magic wands and the adorable little teacup cupcakes to tie the tea party together.
Following lunch, the girls got to letter writing. It was a great exercise for a group of kindergartners to practice their writing skills and express their creativity, like Sofia often does. Adri doodled a bit, and we had an older friend present who was able to draft up her own letter to Princess Sofia.
All the of messages were adorable. From asking what it’s like to be a princess, to sharing some of their favorite hobbies. It’s so sweet to see what all of these little girls’ imaginations can dream up when they’re communicating with a princess.
When the letters were complete, we stuffed each one in an envelope and addressed to Princess Sofia. With our names and return addresses printed clearly on the outside of each envelope, these letters will be sent off to Enchancia, to be received by Sofia. Once Sofia gets them, she’ll send each girl a response.
If you’d like to have your little prince or princess send a letter to Princess Sofia, they can be sent here:
Dear Sofia
244 Madison Avenue

All letters must be received by December 31, 2015. Get more info here!
With letter writing quickly becoming a lost art, giving the girls the chance to participate in an event such as this, was such a special opportunity!
Be sure to catch Sofia the First: The Secret Library, featuring a special appearance by Merida from Brave, on Monday October 12 at 9am/8c on Disney Junior on Disney Channel.
