Party Prep at Walmart

This blog post was sponsored by KING’S HAWAIIAN® but the opinions are all my own. #KHGameTime

In our house, Fall means football. And with football, comes lots of get togethers. You can just about guarantee that every Saturday from now until December John and his boyfriend will either be sitting on my couch or said friend’s couch yelling and drinking Guinness.

When people come over, I like to at least have a simple set up with at least a few snacks. If it’s a big game, I might get a tad more involved with decorations and such. Regardless of how crazy we plan on getting, Walmart is the perfect stop for all of my party prep needs.

Not only can I find all the food to fill my menu at our local Walmart, but they also have plenty of party supplies and decor (in team colors!). Plus all the drinks we need to keep the party going!

As I was wandering the store last week, I actually picked up the cutest little chalk board EVER in the wedding section! I plan on using it at future parties as a menu or some other decorative thing. Either way, for less than $8, you can’t beat it! In that same general area, I made sure to grab paper and plasticware in team colors, along with some tissue paper to make festive garlands.

While at Walmart, I grabbed a few game day essentials for the weekend as well. Just a few items that were easy to throw together to keep hunger at bay. Tortilla chips, of course! A few fresh fruits and tomatoes for a fresh salsa (the pineapples were the biggest and freshest I’ve ever seen, BTW). I also threw a few packs of KING’S HAWAIIAN® Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls into the cart.

One of said packs was shared between the youngest two and I on the way home. The rest will be used to make some easy game day sliders, which will be topped with some of the tasty salsa I mentioned before.

Come back in a few weeks to see how I brought all of my great Walmart finds together for a fantastic football party!
