Miles From Tomorrowland Party!

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with DiMeMedia and Disney Junior. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

It’s been a while since we had a good get together with friends, so we used this weekend to do just that, with a Miles From Tomorrowland inspired space party! We mixed a little fun with learning about space, for a party that turned out to be a blast!

Our little party kicked off with an art project. Each girl received a canvas board to create their own space image. Armed with glitter paint (because space sparkles, right?), glitter glue, and planet cutouts, the girls took to creating their masterpieces. It was interesting to see each interpretation of space from the children ranging in age from 3-8.

As we waited for the projects to dry, we eased into snack time with constellations made of marshmallows and pretzel sticks. Originally, I planned on using regular marshmallows, but I was lucky enough to find star-shaped ones, which were perfect for this project.

After a quick intro to constellations, the girls were putting together their own. Adri was all about her magic wand constellations! The other girls (and even the moms) explored other shapes such as zodiac constellations. I had a tricky time even getting one stick person to work, so Gemini wasn’t happening for me.

Finally, we wound down with cookies and popcorn. Earth cookies and crater corn, to be exact! Earlier in the afternoon, Veronica and Adriana had so much fun helping me put the cookies together. They were surprisingly easy to make, and turned out as perfectly as I could have hoped for.

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend our Saturday night. We had good food with good friends, and a blast was had by all!
