Eat The Street – Chocolate Food Truck Rally

One of my favorite things to do in Hawaii is to go to the Eat the Street food truck rallies. It’s extra awesome when they happen in the town a few minutes from post, since it’s kind of a pain to drive all the way to Honolulu. Over the weekend there was a chocolate themed rally, so you know we were there!

At first glance, I was sort of disappointed. It didn’t seem like many of the trucks lined up in the first section had anything chocolate. Lame. As we continued down to the more populated area, it seemed like most of the trucks   there had some sort of chocolate on their menus.

We ended up trying a few different items. My all-time favorite were the wontons. At the bacon themed rally, that stand had bacon mac and cheese filled wontons. This time around John got red velvet, chocolate peanut butter, and Nutella cheesecake. All so good!

Another good one is Pop Pop Donuts. They also featured Nutella on their doughnuts. While I’m not a crazed Nutella addict like some people, the Nutella drizzled doughnuts were amazing!

Like usual, the girls had to stop at the Aloha Pops stand to grab popsicle, but of course, they stuck to orange and strawberry creme. They did have chocolate dipped bananas which looked quite delicious! Johnny also snagged a HUGE ice cream sandwich from another booth. It took both of us to finish it.
