Beach or Bust!
We had high hopes for the weekend, but unfortunately our plans turned out to be a bust! Hawaii weather wasn’t cooperating so we didn’t get to spend as much time at the beach as we had hoped. We had also hoped to do some whale watching, but due to the clouds and crappy weather, we couldn’t see very far out. Maybe the whales were just hiding.
On the bright side, it was still a great weekend. Saturday, John took the girls shopping for a little bit. While the older two shopped, Juli napped at home and I was able to knock out a bunch of blog stuff. I’m super excited to show everyone how I filled in my blog’s editorial calendar for the rest of the year! YES, posts for the whole year! Now if only I could get on a good posting schedule.
Sunday, after trying to spot whales, we had breakfast at a place called Cinnamon’s. I had this awesome skillet potato and egg dish that I plan on attempting to recreate at home. Following breakfast, we were able to take the girls to the park near the beach where they ran around under the cloud cover.
On our way out to whale watching, John booked our next cruise. We are so excited to cruise again! This time, we’re visiting two destinations that we’ve already been to before as well as stopping in Jamaica for the first time.
We ended our weekend by watching Miss Universe. I wasn’t actually interested in the contest and thanks to Twitter, I already knew the results, but it was fun to watch since it was filmed at our university.
